Directions for Use

It is absolutely fine to drink the water immediately after pouring it into the bottle. However, to get the full benefits of the copper bottle, we suggest you fill up the bottle the night before and start by drinking a cup in the morning to cleanse and detoxify your digestive system. Enjoy the rest of the water throughout the day.
When you receive your water bottle, we recommend that you clean it using the instructions in the video below.
To get the full benefits from the copper, water must be stored in the bottle/vessel for at least 6-8 hours.
Directions for Cleaning
Squeeze half a lemon (or ¼ cup of naturally fermented vinegar) and a tablespoon of salt into the bottle and add 1-2 cups of warm water. Shake the bottle and pour the liquid out.
Sometimes a copper build-up occurs at the lid of the bottle. Use the squeezed lemon to wipe inside the neck/tread of the bottle and then wipe with a cloth.
Do not put your bottle in the dishwasher or use soaps/detergents and it will damage the copper.
If you find that the lid is sticking slightly, this could be because the copper has left small deposits around the lid/tread. If this happens, every so often, rub a touch of natural oil (e.g. olive or coconut) around the lid and the ridges on the top of the bottle.

The Magic of Copper

The ancient ayurvedic practice of storing water in a copper vessel for purification and health has been revered for thousands of years. Long before modern methods of water purification came about, people were using copper as a way to cleanse our earth’s greatest life-giving resource. They would store it overnight in large containers to be used the next day.

The Science Behind Copper
The scientific community has become fascinated by the claims of copper’s power and took it upon themselves to test the theories that were understood by those Eastern ancestors. Unsurprisingly, studies have shown that water stored in copper containers is not only free from bacteria but also has a raised pH level, leaving it naturally more alkaline which has many health benefits.
